Safe YOU is a multifunctional safety app for mobile device users and a web platform for different stakeholders (NGOs, Governmental organizations, individual specialists), who provide support services to women to prevent and protect them in case of violence. Available currently in Armenia and Georgia the App permits the users to send free alert SMS with their geolocation to up-to 7 prechosen contacts, including the Police.
Summary
Safe YOU is a comprehensive safety mobile application and web platform designed for women in Armenia and Georgia. The Android app (Java/Kotlin) enables users to send emergency SMS alerts with geolocation to pre-selected contacts (including police), record audio during incidents, access a network of support organizations, participate in anonymous forums, and use security features like dual PIN and camouflage. The project includes both mobile and web components for users and service providers.
